Ask Claude or ChatGPT About Your Student Support Sessions

Your session data, now available to the AI assistant you already use

You already log your IEP, RTI, SPED, and 504 support sessions in tiimli. Starting today, you can connect tiimli to Claude or ChatGPT and ask questions about those sessions in plain language. Instead of exporting a spreadsheet and adding up minutes by hand, you can just ask.

What can you ask?

Your assistant reads the classrooms, students, sessions, and report history in your tiimli account, so its answers come from your real records. A few examples:

  • “How many IEP minutes did I log with Maya this month?”
  • “Which of my students haven't I met with in the last two weeks?”
  • “Summarize Jordan's reading sessions before Thursday's IEP meeting.”
  • “Break down my sessions by activity for my 3rd grade small group.”
  • “Draft a friendly update for Liam's parents based on his last six sessions.”
  • “When did I last generate a progress report for each student?”

Questions like these come up constantly around conference season. Your formal PDF and Excel reports are still there for official documentation. The assistant is for the quick questions that come up in between.

How it works

tiimli runs an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server. MCP is the open standard Claude and ChatGPT use to connect to outside apps. You add tiimli as a custom connector with the URL https://www.tiimli.co/api/mcp, sign in to tiimli, and approve the connection. Step-by-step instructions for both assistants are on our AI assistant page.

During the beta, the connector is included on every tiimli plan, even Free. Once the beta ends, it will be part of the Premium plan.

Built with student privacy in mind

  • Read-only. The assistant can look up your data but can't create, change, or delete sessions.
  • You approve every connection on a tiimli consent screen after signing in.
  • Only your data. Secure OAuth sign-in with short-lived tokens, scoped to your own account.
  • Disconnect anytime from Settings → Connected Apps. Access ends immediately.

Once data reaches Claude or ChatGPT, it's handled under that provider's privacy terms. Check your school or district's AI and student-data policies before you connect.
